Who the heck is Sioux-Z?
First, let’s make sure you know how to pronounce my name.
I know it’s spelled funny but you pronounce it Su-Zee.
No one cares what my last name is, so just call me Sioux that trippin’ Texas gal.
Now to the good stuff
I was born in Dallas in the mid-seventies (a southern lady never gives away her true age so don’t ask) and have lived my life in North Texas ever since.
I have always been someone others would quietly whisper, “She’s that weird girl I was telling you about”, to classmates, coworkers and even some of my other family members.
In my 40 years on this planet, I always made it a point to be myself which always seemed to be considered “different” to others.
I went through my punk rocker segment of life, then through the shaping and mastering of a career centered around pets (veterinary), and now I am using pure ambition (and creativity) to combine all of my life experiences into something truly liberating…live life to the fullest while blogging all about it!
What’s on the site?
My purpose and premise for this site will be to tell and show you all kinds of places in Texas worth checking out.
From small-town festivals to award-winning vegan Mexican restaurants, I will share tips, photos and general helpful info anyone would appreciate, especially if you ain’t from Texas.
I don’t want to come across as another traveling blogger so I promise not to bore you with stuff about Texas others already covered time and time again. With that being said, I’d like to invite you to virtually hop into my trippin’ Ford Transit van with me as I take you on a tour of Texas.
Occasionally, I shuttle out-of-towners and international guests all around this great big state.
When I do, I document our excursions and smiles via pictures and videos you will find either hilarious or inspirational. Be sure to view my Texans Language Guide so you fully understand what the heck I am sayin’ or you might get lost in the southern translation.
